WANTED: New works for Old Town Tubac Historic Adobe Building Tour – Tubac: Where Art and History Meet – any medium.
The first Old Town Tubac Historic Adobe Building Tour and Exhibit was such a terrific success, we’re doing it again!
SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, November 11, 2017.
The Lowe House Project artist in residency program and the Tubac Historical Society are again teaming up for this educational fundraising tour of some of Old Town Tubac’s historic adobe buildings within our National Historic District.
Many Thanks to 2017 artists Pamela Wedemeyer, John Mabry, Joyce Jackson, and our artist in residence, Susan Flanagan, for spectacular oils, pastels, and intaglio prints, representing stunning Tubac historical vignettes. Spectacular work which added broader awareness and appreciation through your work. We are so pleased that some of the works were sold to very appreciative participants on the tour!
This year, the Historic Lowe House – 14 Calle Iglesia, Old Town Tubac – home of the Lowe House Project, is on the tour again, and by popular demand will be hosting an exhibit of pieces by some of Tubac’s early art colonists, as well as new works by current local and LHP resident artists. The works can be for sale with a 10% commission on proceeds split between the Lowe House Project and the Tubac Historical Society. Works considered can be any medium and preferably small.
If interested, send an image with medium, dimensions, and your contact information to Nancy Valentine at [email protected]. Deadline for submission is October 20th, 2017. If accepted, you will be notified and provided further details.
