Old Town Tubac Historic Adobe Building Tour & Exhibit
Saturday, November 11, 2017, 10:00AM – 3:00PM.
The Lowe House Project Artist In Residency program and the Tubac Historical Society are again co-sponsoring the Old Town Tubac Historic Adobe Building Tour. It was a great success last year and we are doing it again!
The Historic Lowe House at 14 Calle Iglesia, Old Town Tubac, home of the Lowe House Project, is on the tour. Plans are developing for an exhibit in the main gallery of some of Tubac’s early art colonists’ work. In the smaller galleries, new works in all disciplines by Tubac artists and those exhibiting in Tubac will be featured and for sale. The works are to feature Tubac’s historic adobes and/or represent Old Town Tubac’s unique character and spirit.
The works will be for sale with a 10% commission on proceeds split between the Lowe House Project and the Tubac Historical Society.
Works considered are to be created by Tubac artists and those exhibiting in Tubac and can be any medium but preferably small.
If interested, send image with medium, dimensions, and your contact information to [email protected]. Deadline for submission is October 20th, 2017. If accepted, you will be notified by October 30th and provided further details.
For more information, contact Nancy Valentine at [email protected], or call 520-841-1404 and leave a message and Nancy will get back to you.
The purpose of the tour is to bring attention to these historic treasures, Old Town Tubac as a National Historic District, to our tradition of “Tubac: Where Art and History Meet” , her artists today and to raise funds to support the missions of the non-profit tour cosponsors—the Tubac Historical Society and the Lowe House Project Artist In Residency program.
