VAN GOGH SUNFLOWER PAINT-OUT

A first annual fun and successful event to bring attention to Old Town Tubac, support area artists, and raise funds for LHP.


OLD TOWN TUCSON HISTORIC ADOBE BUILDING TOUR

A successful fundraiser to bring attention to Tubac: Where Art and History Meet in partnership with the Tubac Historical Society, Tubac historic adobe building owners, LHP artists in residence, exhibiting artists, and volunteers. Made possible with funding assistance from the Tubac Rotary and Tubac Community Foundation.


HOW FAR FELIPE PAGEANT AND ANZA DAY CELEBRATION 

Revival of the traditional “How Far Felipe” pageant. An outstanding collaboration with Montessori de Santa Cruz students, teachers and parents, Lowe House Project resident artist, Tubac Presidio State Historic Park, and Chris Bejarano, who coordinated the program for 27 years for hundreds of Santa Cruz Valley School Children. Made possible with funding assistance from the Tubac Historical Society.


RIO COMPARTIDO/SHARED RIVER

Our artist residents from Mexico were the first in a two-year project to develop an exhibit featuring the bi-national Santa Cruz River and complementary to the Smithsonian’s WaterWay exhibit coming to Tubac Presidio State Historic Park in 2019. In partnership with the Friends of the Santa Cruz River. Made possible in part by funding from the AZ Humanities and the Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County.


RESIDENT ARTISTS’ EXHIBITIONS & PRESENTATIONS

The Lowe House Project supported the creative pursuits of area artists in special presentations of resident artists, local and from across the U.S..


PLAYSHOPS

Playshops intended to inspire and foster creativity, self expression, exploration, learning, and playfulness while supporting working artists and artisans ranged from papermaking to spirited painting adventures.


WRITING WORKSHOPS, POETRY, AND AUTHOR GROUPS

Area writers in all genres where afforded opportunities to expand their skills through support groups, how-to workshops, and sessions on how to get that finished work published!


READINGS AND BOOK SIGNINGS 

Our readings and book signings by area authors generated lots of excitement about such talent in our midst!
